![]() Factors That Affect Game ResultsĬoncerning out-of-game factors, a number of studies have examined the effects of gender and culture on game results. Due to the sports-based nature of eSports gameplay, this study represents an effective way of distinguishing and optimizing talent in terms of both out-of-game and in-game factors while also providing valuable references for future game design. The objective of this study is to determine how to achieve victory as well as extract good team cooperation patterns and strategies, which are important to the MOBA genre for the sake of better competition. Our study explores the winning predictors in Defense of the Ancients 2 (Dota 2), which is a popular MOBA game. Recent years have witnessed the explosion of MOBA-related studies from various perspectives such as game addiction, motivation, leadership, and cultural differences. Such games center around two small teams competing against one another ( Kahn & Williams, 2016).
